More than 200 wagons were procured in two production series. As a special feature, the wagons had built-in tail lights, whose red-white surfaces could be covered with rotating blinds. From 1964, the wagons were also used on branch lines in passenger trains. These wagons received lettering according to the passenger coach scheme with the designation D. From 1977, those used exclusively as passenger luggage vans were re-designated as Daa.
