The class 145 electric locomotive was developed from the late 1990s by ADtranz (later Bombardier Transportation) for goods traffic in Germany. It belongs to the first generation of the modular TRAXX platform.
The 145 040-2 of TRI corresponds to the early TRAXX F140 AC1. Initially used for DB Cargo, it was later equipped with the "local transport package" for Expo 2000 services. From 2018 it was part of the RBH fleet and sold to TRI in 2024. Since 2025, the locomotive has been used in TRI design for their passenger trains.
